Kudos has a remote MCP server, so an AI assistant such as Claude can answer questions from your Kudos data: "How did our CSAT develop this quarter?", "Which comments did I get last week?", "How many Points do I have?". The assistant acts as you: it sees exactly what you see in Kudos, with your role and Teams, and nothing more.
The MCP server is read-only. It cannot give Recognitions, change settings or touch Points.
Connect an assistant
Open MCP access and API tokens in the My Kudos menu. The page shows your MCP server URL, of the form https://<your Kudos address>/t/<your tenant>/mcp.
- Add that URL as a remote MCP server (custom connector) in your AI client.
- The client sends you to Kudos. Sign in as usual, through your company's sign-in.
- Kudos shows which client asks for access. Allow it only if you started this yourself.
Kudos marks a client as unverified when it registered itself and chose its own name, and warns when it sends you back to an address on your own computer. That is normal for desktop clients, but check that you know the client.
Access lasts as long as you keep using the client, up to 30 days without use, and at most 90 days: then you sign in and allow it again. Revoke it at any time under Connected apps.
API tokens
For scripts and automations without a browser, create an API token on the same page:
- Enter a name that says where the token is used.
- Pick when it expires: 30, 90 (default), 180 or 365 days.
- Copy the token. Kudos shows it once and stores only a fingerprint of it.
Send it as Authorization: Bearer kudos_pat_… to your MCP server URL. A token acts as you, like a connected app. The list shows when each token was created, last used and expires.
Revoke a token you no longer need. Admins see and can revoke every token in the Tenant. Creating and revoking tokens is recorded in the Audit log.
Connected apps
Every AI client you allowed is listed under Connected apps, with its name and when you allowed it. Revoking one ends its access immediately. Admins see and can revoke every Member's connected apps.

Limits
- Each token and each connected app may make 60 calls per minute; more are refused for a moment.
- Changes to your role, Teams or Resource apply to the assistant at once. A deactivated Member's tokens and apps stop working.
- While your Tenant is suspended or its subscription is inactive, the MCP server does not answer.
